He has made numerous television appearances and been asked hundreds of times to pose with a football perched against his head, imitating the 32-yard reception he made on the Giants' game-winning drive against the New England Patriots.
He even has a book coming out, "More Than Just a Catch," that will chronicle his off-field personal struggles.
What the Super Bowl hero doesn't have right now is a guaranteed roster spot.
The sixth-year pro out of Syracuse had arthroscopic knee surgery in the offseason, which prevented him from participating in Tuesday's Giants workout.
With starters Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer entrenched in their roles and youngsters Steve Smith, Sinorice Moss and rookie Mario Manningham available, there might be a battle at wide receiver that could leave Tyree on the outside looking in.

The New York Giants unveiled the design of their Super Bowl championship ring on Tuesday, a white gold sparkler that will feature about 1.5 carats in diamonds.
The ring's top is covered in diamonds and features three Super Bowl trophies accented with marquise diamonds signifying the Giants' Super Bowl XXI, XXV and XLII victories. The team's "NY" logo is in bead set round diamonds, while "World Champions" is emblazoned in raised letters on the top and bottom bezel, with channel set diamonds on left and right bezel.
The ring's shanks celebrate the Giants' season, noting the team's "Eleven Straight on the Road," an NFL record; the NFL shield; and player name, along with player number in raised letters appear on one shank. The final score, "Super Bowl XLII," date and 'AZ' appear on the other shank.
Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon would not disclose the price of the ring. Tiffany has previously created Super Bowl championship rings for the Washington Redskins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The company annually creates the NFL Vince Lombardi Super Bowl Trophy at its workshop in Parsippany, about 30 minutes from Giants Stadium. The rings will be presented to the Giants players and coaches at a ceremony later in the spring.

Ever wondered what happened to all the gear from the losers of a Super Bowl match. Because the game is over, and a minute later they already have champion hats on. Sometimes even before the game finishes.
Well the Patriots were 19-0 in Nicaragua apparently, where World Vision, a humanitarian organization donated all the hats and shirts that had already been made for the unbeaten patriots. If only someone over there would put them on Ebay, he would get good money for it...
Here are some pictures of the people from the communities of San Gregorio and Buena Vista... all jokes aside, its good to know that they went to a noble cause.
