Colts Season Opener

The Indianapolis Colts will play their first 2008 season game on a new field... their opener is against the Bears in the new Lucas Oil Stadium. This superbowl rematch has been announced that will be on NBC's Football Night in America andit will be the first game played on this stadium, since the preseason games will be played at a baseball park in Indianapolis.

The Lucas Oil Stadium was worth around 700 million dollars to build, like the Cardinals Stadium and the Cowboys coming stadium, it has a retractable roof that can open for some games and be closed for other games. It has a capacity of 63,000 and if it should host a super bowl or some kind of event like that it can be expanded for 70,000 seats... their old RCA dome held about 58,000 seats...

In my opinion its not a great stadium... it looks kind of like an old warehouse, but maybe thats what they were going for there...
