Michael Strahan has made it official. His retirement from the league is now a fact. He informed the front office Monday morning, without telling his coaches or teammates, I think he preferred to do it the quiet way... A great player has decided to call it quits, at the top of his game, after 15 seasons playing as a DE for the New York Giants, the career is over. As his teammate Eli Manning said 'He had a tremendous career, and he picked a great year to go out'...... OUCH... a little message for Mr. Tiki Barber???? hahahaha, I think it was kind of directed that way, yes Strahan was great, but he waited to have a Super Bowl title before walking out of the game.
He has insisted that he wants a job in television, and in my opinion he has the perfect charisma to be a sideline announcer, just as Tony Siragusa does, or maybe another type of analyst just as 'the bus' Bettis on NBC...
Strahan's Numbers
- 15 Seasons with 7 pro bowl selections
- Super Bowl XLII Champion
- 40th overall pick in 1993 (second round)
- 141.5 career sacks... this makes him fifth all time
- NFL single season record set in 2001 with 22.5 sacks
- 3 tackles, 1 sack and 2 QB hits in Super Bowl XLII
- finished the 2007 season with 9 sacks and 57 tackles
Well, first Favre, now Strahan, I guess all the greats come to an end sooner or later. Its time for Justin Tuck to take his place now, and he already showed he can fill the job, being almost the key player in the Super Bowl with 2.5 sacks...
- the Rookie

De lo mejor que ha tenido la NFL... que lástima que no dio una temporada más, pero me voy feliz por su desempeño y el campeonato que se llevó.
