WR Terrell Owens and the Cowboys have agreed to terms on a three-year... $27 million extension on Monday... making him one of the highest paid wide receivers in the league.
This extension would keep Owens in Dallas through the 2011 season. The deal includes a $12.9 million signing bonus.
Owens... was set to enter this season in the final year of a three-year, $25 million contract he signed with Dallas in 2005. Owens has led the Cowboys in receptions (166), receiving yards (2,535) and touchdowns (28) in his two seasons in Dallas.
His 28 touchdown catches over the last two seasons are more than any other receiver... and that includes WR Randy Moss... who set the league record for TD's in a single-season last year.
The extension for Owens is the latest in a series of long-term deals reached with key starters. The Cowboys spent roughly $95 million on one day, signing running back Marion Barber to a seven-year, $45 million deal and cornerback Terrence Newman to a six-year, $50.2 million deal.
The Cowboys also signed left tackle Flozell Adams to a six-year, $43.8 million in April, while quarterback Tony Romo signed a six-year, $67.5 million deal last season.
Owens is 34 years old... so this could be his last contract... and he would retire as a Dallas Cowboy... but anything could happen... especially with Terrell Owens and Jerry Jones.

QUE ASCO!
I Heard 34 million for 4 years....
that way he will retire when hes 39!!!!! I dont really like this decision at all... but hey, Jerry Jones knows how to do this... hes been doing it for quite some time now....
It's 34 million for 4 years... but he already had contract this year... so the contract extention is for 3 years and $27 million.
I have never trusted the cowboys, and now it is worse, with the Pacman Jones situation. It is very suspicious, how they pay a whole lot of money, and never have salary cap problems, something really stinks here.
The T.O. situation is very surprising, I dont think he is worth that much. He is a great athlete for a WR, but he drops a lot of important passes. I think Jerry Jones was very touched by the tears T.O. shed in the press conference after loosing to the giants last season.
It's really unfair... It's really unfair... it's my teammate... it's my quarterback!!!
jajaja!! PRICELESS!!
